Armchair Ethnomusicology
Great news for all you sound enthusiasts, the British Library's Sound Archive is now available free online. Over 2000 hours of recordings, many from the collections of anthropological research trips, allow you to explore the folk music traditions of the globe. The website is well organized and contains everything from ethnographic wax cylinder recordings to surveys of English accents and dialects. Start digging!
